Baan Pila opened its doors in March 2023.
Initially built on 1972, the building was used as a hotel for the military. Since then, the building has changed hands a few times until, recently, it was bought by a young Lao entrepreneur in Vientiane. The essence of the building has stayed the same. The latest renovation - opening up the roof in the Mandarin and Mango rooms.
So why Baan Pila? 'Baan' in Lao means home or village and Pila is the pomegranate, a fruit you can see in several of our trees when you stroll through our property. Each one of our rooms is named after a fruit tree that we have planted in the garden. Mandarin, guava, mango, lime, mulberry and papaya.
We hope you enjoy your stay!
