About us
"Baan" in Lao means home or village and Pila is the pomegranate, a fruit you can see in several of trees as you stroll through our property. Each one of our rooms is named after a fruit tree that we have planted in the garden; mandarin, guava, mango, lime, mulberry and papaya.

OPEN since 2023
Initially built in 1972, the building was used as a hotel for Air America Pilots. Since then, the building has changed hands a few times until, recently, it was bought by a young Lao entrepreneur in Vientiane.
The essence of the building has stayed the same. The latest renovation - opening up the roof in the Mandarin and Mango rooms.

Jo, Julie and the Baan Pila team love to share ideas and tips on what to see and do whilst you are here.
